Following on from SMH reporting this morning, it appears that the NSW Government have doubled down on the $700m cost claim.
We unfortunately don't have a recording for this, but take it from a reliable source that when the Premier was asked for his view at a media doorstop, Mr Minns went to great lengths to say that giving staff specialist psychiatrists a 25% recruitment and retention payment would cost "billions of dollars" over an unspecified time frame.
Mr Minns also made it clear that the inevitable outcome will be that VMOs and other staff specialists would come knocking too, bankrupting the whole system for everybody.
